The goal of democratizing education started as a daunting focal area as it applies across a broad spectrum of users, from educating pet owners to teaching teachers. The four of us sat down together and asked ourselves, "where would democratizing education be the most meaningful and impactful for us?" From this conversation, we decided that the grade school environment, based on our experiences alone, was an area that we all agreed needed attention and change. In order to see if our hunches were valid, we talked to a variety of educators and students to gain a broader understanding of the education system in place today and identify its successes and shortcomings.
