"I just moved to a completely new city halfway across the world. Help is available for practical things like learning the language, but nothing to help me feel culturally valued and emotionally supported. Since I came here from Turkey, I never get a chance to bellydance. I want to learn this new culture but don't want to lose touch of my own; I want to learn as well as teach. Newcomers are expected to learn so much when they move to a distant place, that they lose confidence in their value as a new community member. What if the newcomer has something to offer? Urbanspire is a cultural bridge that gives newcomers the chance to flourish in their community by teaching what they know and love from their home in a one-on-one, neighbor-to-neighbor context"
