set up

  1. sign up for del.icio.us at http://del.icio.us/register
    • make sure you set up the browser buttons so you can post directly from your browser
  2. subscribe to the eXtools tag to keep up-to-date with new links from your classmates
    • go to your inbox [http://del.icio.us/inbox/your_username]
    • find the edit inbox link to the right
    • leave user blank and enter eXtools for tag
      • user (leave blank for all)
      tag
  3. poke around, the interface takes some getting used to...
  4. check your inbox [http://del.icio.us/inbox/your_username] from time to time

share

  1. you've found something cool, informative, funny, etc
  2. use your browser button post to del.icio.us
  3. use tag eXtools so others can find it too. the posting interface looks something like this:
      url  do not share
      description
      notes
      tags  space separated

get to readings

  1. go to the class' del.icio.us home
  2. filter links by sessions by clicking on the session date tag under sessions in the right sidebar
  3. filter links again by the tag reading by clicking on the + sign under related tags
