Alternative Farmers' Markets

We strongly suggest you join the class trip to the Ferry Building Farmer's Market in San Francisco on 1/21. In case you cannot come with us on this day, here is a list of alternate Farmers' Markets in the area that are acceptable substitutes. If you know of any other markets that we should add to this list, please send them to cs247@cs. Many markets are seasonal - and January is definitely the off-season. It's your responsibility to find out ahead of time whether they actually take place in January or not.

• San Francisco:
  • Tuesday, 1/17 and 1/24: Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market in San Francisco; 10am-2pm (go early and you can be back by class time)
  • Wednesday, 1/18 and Sunday 1/22, 8am-5pm: UN Plaza San Francisco, Hyde and Market Streets;
  • Saturday, 1/21, 6am-6pm: Alemany Farmers' Market, 100 Alemany Blvd. near Highway 101
• Menlo Park :
  • Sunday 1/22 10AM-2PM: Menlo Park downtown parking plaza south of Santa Cruz Avenue between Chestnut and Crane
• Mountain View:
  • Mountain View parking lot behind 100 Castro Street (near Hope and Evelyn)
    Sundays 10AM-2PM year-round
