Our goal is to bring the communities of creators together in order to leverage a larger group size to reduce the difficulties associated with navigating a lease for a physical space.
Moving into a physical space can be hard to accomplish and for small businesses in the creative industry (designers, artisans, custom creators etc.) this struggle is only amplified.
Coalease, is a platform that aims to bring creators together under one roof to lease together, complement each other’s products (synergize), and build a creative community.

Needfinding
During initial interviews we talked to as many people as possible, across various age-groups, occupations and financial backgrounds about their personal finance.
Experience Prototype
We used this opportunity to deeply explore, the sector of small-business finance and understanding what are key challenges small-business owners experience with their finances.
Concept Video
In order to make our idea more tangible to our audience, we produced this concept video displaying the function of our ideated application.
Lo-fi Prototype
Through three user tests of our Marvel-enabled prototype, we got to interact and get feedback on our intial design from potential users.

Medium-fi Prototype
We utilized Figma to work out an initial user interface to maximize the functionality of a small phone screen and to organize the flow between our three main tasks.

Heuristic Evaluation
Our fellow classmates used Jakob Nielsen's Heuristic Evaluation techniques to give us a full and concise evaluation of our project, which we then incorporated in our High-Fi Prototype.

Poster & Pitch Slide
Finally, we presented our product at the CS147 Project Fair on Friday March 19. We got many people to try out our project and learn a bit about the process of leasing studio space as a small creator.
