We know the newsroom can be hectic at times, but we were keen to understand exactly what issues caused this environment. We talked to everyone, from amateurs to world reknowned professionals in journalism.
No one on our team had enough experience in journalism to understand the ins and outs of the issues. Thus, we wanted to make sure we weren't on the wrong track.
The vision was still being developed, but we were excited about the work we were doing and were ready to share our ideas with the world! Our exact implementation has since been refined, but our vision has remained the same all along.
We finally felt like we had a solid handle on what people wanted. But when it came to implentation, we weren't exactly sure how this could work within journalists' workflows. We drew dozens of sketches and went back out into the field to test them.
Finally, we see the app begin to take shape! There were still plently of challenges ahead, but having something on screen was thrilling. The finish line was in sight.
In this stage, we got the opportunity to let other developers test our interface and give us their honest feedback.
