We built our prototype using the Sketch and Marvel prototyping tools. The following instructions will guide our users through our 3 tasks. Task 1: Make yourself Available 1. Press the large green button on the home screen 2. Swipe left and right to indicate interest in the daily topics that pop up 3. Scan the QR code in front of you to indicate your location (this will only show if you are seated on the train already) 4. You are now available! Task 2: Find a match 1. Follow steps 1-4 from Task 1 2. Scroll through the potential matches (sorted by how many interests you have in common) 3. Select a match to view that person’s profile 4. If you like them, invite them! 1. Another way to find a match is by accepting an invitation. To do this, follow steps 1-4 from Task 1 2. Notice that there is a small icon in the bottom left corner, with a green dot illuminated. This indicates that you have an invitation waiting for you. Click this icon. 3. You can then scroll through your invitations 4. Click on someone’s profile to read more about them 5. If you like them, accept their invitation! Task 3: Play a Game 1. First complete Tasks 1 and 2 2. Once you have matched with someone, a pop-up will appear, giving you additional information about your match. There will also be an icon you can click to play a game 3. Click this icon and select a game to play 4. You are now playing that game with your partner! Limitations: This prototype doesn’t feature a direct way to go from viewing someone’s profile back to the screen where you can view potential matches. Right now, this requires two steps. Ideally, we would allow users to swipe away a profile to go back to the matches screen, but Marvel doesn’t support this type of gesture. Also, we are limited in this prototype in the number of games we implemented. We only allow you to “play” Sudoku right now. We are working on putting more games into the app. Also, we are still refining the process by which you and a partner decide to play a game.
