Welcome to the TimeLine Medium-Fi Prototype! Before you get started we just want to ask that you keep your attention out for a few things: 1. This prototype is created with Balsamiq and with that choice comes some constraints discussed below. . One of these constraints that is also due to time is that not everything is clickable! While you can try all of our features (that include sampling a timeline from the welcome/home page, sampling content that you've "searched for", creating your own timeline, and utilizing the the time machine button on the web) only a small portion of the content you'll see can be interacted with and in some places we are required to perform actions for you. Specifically: You can only click on the first result in the World bin on the homepage and you can only select the first search result. 2. You cannot type anywhere. You're single search query is decided by us and you also can't drag and drop or choose the content you use when "creating" your own timeline. 3. You will notice flag buttons on time line entries that don't do anything. In our final product we hope to monitor how many times an entry has been flagged for bias or innacurate information and put a notification at the top of the respective timeline once the number of flags has reached a certain threshold which explains that the timeline contains an flagged article. Let us know what you think of the idea! 4. Our follow buttons our similarly for show but will simply add a timeline to your "following" bin on the "my timelines" homepage 4. We have intentionally only included a color scheme on the home page and would love to know what you think of it (keep in mind actual colors are limited here because of Balsamiq) and any other suggestions of color usage throughout! 5. You will lastly notice that there are no images present on the homepage or in any actual timelines. We are worried about adding clutter to the homepage but would love to know if there was anywhere you wished there were pictures as well as any ideas for incorporating them! We also intend to let users add a picture to their created timelines in the same vain as Facebook cover photos. All thoughts welcome! 6. Lastly, we are aware of how cartoonish the UI looks but we do not intend the final version to look at all hand drawn. This is just a side effect of using Balsamiq which offered the best system for creating the simplistic UI we were after. 7. Enjoy!
