Herd High-Fidelity Prototype README: MISSION: Herd is a revolutionary social platform dedicated to making event information easy and accessible. With a single touch, Herd empowers users to always know what's going on around them. Never miss out. INSTALLATION: 1. Download the .ipa file provided under the "High-Fi Prototype" page of the Herd website 2. Load the .ipa file into iTunes 3. Sync your iPhone with iTunes 4. Run our prototype on your iPhone! (Works best with 6 and 6s) TASKS: 1. Make informed decisions about events -From the home page view the various events going on now. -The size of a bubble indicates the number of people attending and the color represents the event's rating (the darker the shade of green the higher the rating). -Click on any event to see more information about that event such as basic location info, average rating, photos, and comments. -Back on the homepage, click on upcoming events to see all the events going on in the near future. -Because these events haven't occured yet, they don't have ratings, so all bubbles are the same color. The size of a bubble indicates how many people are planning on going. -Repeat the same process as done with events on the "now" page. 2. Share information about an event -Go to an event page. -When physically at an event, you will gain the ability to rate and add photos to that event's page. -Slide the button on the slide bar over to rate the event. The further to to the right the better your rating of the event. -Click on the bar at the bottom of the screen that says "Comment" to write a comment. Once written, click send to add that comment to the page. -To add a photo, click on the camera icon on the bottom right-hand side of the photo stream. -This opens up a native camera app. Take an image and either add or discard it. -If added, this adds your photo to the event's photo stream for others to see. 3. Create event -From the main page (either on "now" or "upcoming"), click the "+" icon on the right-hand side of the navigation bar. -This will open up a "create event" page. -Fill in the name, location, time, date, and description fields -Add a banner photo through the camera icon. -Click "done" once all the information is finalized. -The event should float in to the page where you added the event from LIMITATIONS: 1. All initial events are fabricated and have preset information. 2. Adding/voting on comments is unimplemented, although the comment bar works properly. 3. The search functionality is unimplemented. 4. For testing purposes, the prototype gives testers access to add event info as if they were present at every event on the application. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, send them to Neven Wang-Tomic at nevenwt@stanford.edu!
