Brainstorm as many ideas as you can for tasks your design work this quarter could tackle. Each idea will take the form of a "how might we" question. For example, "How might we help students find their way to class?"
This assignment is all about problem-finding. What will your design work this quarter accomplish? It sounds daunting at first. That's why, for this week, your only goal is to create as many ideas as possible. Don't worry about their quality or feasability just yet; go for breadth.
You will submit all assignments using the CS147 Course Submission system. Submit your list of ideas, along with the names of the people you worked with.
You will introduce yourself and share a couple of your ideas with the class. When you share ideas and hear those of your peers, think about their creativity and variety. For this week, we care about volume, not quality.
The only criteria for this assignment is volume. If you submit at least 20 ideas, you will receive full credit. Assignments with fewer than 20 ideas will be graded proportionally (e.g., a submission with 15 ideas will receive 75%). After submitting, you will grade this assignment yourself using volume as the criterion.
