Design for Agile Aging
February 14: Fix the Fixable

I Like/I Wish Discussion Notes

I Like...
the chocolate.
the question and answer portion of the lecture.
that we had time to check in with the teams after the lecture.
the way the prototypes are going.
both presentations - Elna's and Carol's.
the passion of the speakers.
that I get to buy a Wii.
how the projects are so dynamic.
the agile aging social last time.
that i was able to teach people how to lead.

I Wish...
i had more than 10 minutes.
we'd had more time to discuss the implications of children being advocates for their parents.
we had a forum that would provide a time/place for greater discussion.
we could incorporate this type of discussion into the annual alumni weekend.
we could host some type of symposium to discuss these issues further.
i remembered more of what i had learned at the dance lesson last week.
we could stress more the positive aspects of aging.
we could learn more about specific strategies used to help fight the depression of aging (e.g., the red hat society)?

How To...
continue the lectures and discussion into next quarter?
incorporate a lecture of capitalist vs. socialist medicine?
be able to seriously read over the questions before class and integrate them into the lecture (maybe re-read-over the questions and discuss them in future sessions)?
broaden the awareness of the content that has been presented in this class more more people (the stanford people, etc)?
use next quarter as a sort of outreach to the community (idea: maybe have a fair/symposium to show off prototypes and have community discussions).
