Summaries of our interviews with biology researchers:

There are many opportunities to provide computer support for biology research, including:

1) when biologists are reviewing prior research and designing experiments,

2) when they are out in the field collecting specimens and data,

3) when they are back in the lab performing experiments,

4) while transcribing and referencing data in their notebooks,

5) while analyzing and visualizing data on their computers,

and 6) when needing to share their results and data with colleagues.
