Stanford HCI Mailing lists

We maintain a number of lists for distributing notices related to HCI at Stanford. They are all managed by the Stanford Campus Mailing List Services. To subscribe to a list, send a message to majordomo@lists.stanford.edu with the body (not the subject header) containing a line:

subscribe <listname>

To unsubscribe give the command

unsubscribe <listname>

Some of the lists are limited to Stanford students only, others are open (as noted below). None of the lists allow open posting. If you have things you would like to see posted, send them to winograd@cs.stanford.edu.

pcd-seminar [open]

This list is used for the weekly distribution of abstracts for the Seminar on People, Computers, and Design, held at Stanford (CS547). All of the information posted to that list is also available on the seminar web site.

pcd-fyi-list [open]

This list is used for the distribution of information and announcements that may be of general interest to the PCD community including talk and conference announcements. It does not include pcd-seminar announcements.

hci-students [Stanford only]

This list is used for announcements of interest to on-campus students interested in PCD research projects. It is not intended for more general distribution.

hci-student-jobs [open]

This list is used for announcements of job opportunities for students.It includes both part-time and full-time jobs, both on campus and off. These notices are not posted to hci-students, so you can subscribe to the two independently.

You may also be interested in the general colloquium mailing list maintained by the CS department. The pcd-seminar notices are posted to that list, so if you subscribe to it, it will be redundant to subscribe to pcd-seminar. To subscribe to the colloquium list, send any message at all to colloq-subscribe@cs.stanford.edu.
