winter 2010
CS294H: Social Software
Assignment 5: One-on-One Meetings
Grade Value: 75 points
Due: Thursday January 28, in class
brief
A large part of the class will be engineering meetings. These engineering meetings are how you will both plan (and we will track) progress through the implementation phase of your project. For this first meeting, your group will have a one-on-one meeting with the instruction staff. That is, your group will meet with the instructors, but other groups will not be present.
assignment
You do not need to prepare any material for presentation. However, be prepared to discuss the following:
- What you plan to implement (and who is to do it)
- What you have accomplished to date (high-level overview)
- The main challenges you expect to run into
- Your plans for the next week
- Where you stand in terms of the overall project (the big pieces that have been done, are left, features you've cut, etc)
Target Time: 0-0.5 hours. Spend your time this week getting your implementation started.
evaluation criteria
- How ambitious are your goals?
- How well-thought out are your plans for next week?
- How well-defined, and well-distributed, are your tasks?
in studio
Each group will meet with the instructors. We will post meeting times soon.
