More Fun, Less Waste!

Food waste is both a sustainability problem and a human one. In the real world, organizations like Waste No Food connect businesses that produce food waste to charities that need it using sophisticated technology. College campuses tend to have their own organizations, minus the technology. At Stanford, SPOON (Stanford Project on Hunger) has trouble motivating volunteers to help collect food waste, and collections aren't efficient enough for dining halls. FoodConnect adds a social aspect to SPOON and allows dining halls to donate extra food on a flexible schedule. More fun, less waste!
