CoCo

CoCo is a way to collaboratively create digital memories of events.

When people go to an event, they can only experience it once; there are currently very few ways to relive the event. CoCo uses uses pictures and video from various event goers to create a highlight reel of the best footage from the event to be shared and archived to be viewed later. The best content will be curated through a voting system to ensure that the final product is truly the best representation of what it was like to attend.

Contextual Inquiry/Task Analysis

In this assignment we used the contextual inquiry methodology to learn more about the use practices of our target customers. The interview data formed the basis for a task analysis of our idea.

Concept Video & Sketches

In this assignment we continued to brainstorm on design ideas and turned these ideas into our concept video. The goal of the assignment was to help us learn how to both ideate and better present our design ideas and the context of our project to an audience outside of your immediate team.

Low-Fidelity Prototype & Test

The goal of this assignment was to learn how to use low-fi prototyping in the early stages of UI design. We built a low-fi prototype and performed a simple usability test. The results of the test were incorporated into design changes in our medium-fi prototype.

Medium-Fidelity Prototype

In this assignment we built a medium-fidelity prototype of our user interface ideas using an interactive user interface design tool. We revised our user interface ideas based on the low-fi evaluation and instructor/CA feedback.

Heuristic Evaluation

Classmates from other teams worked as consultants to perform a heuristic evaluation of CoCo. Using our tasks, scenarios, interface design, screen shots, and medium-fi prototype, our classmates applied Nielsen’s heuristics to CoCo's user interface.

Poster & Pitch Slide

In addition to our Hi-Fi Prototype, this poster and pitch slide were how we presented our work on CoCo to interested parties from industry and across campus.
