Assignment 06: Motivation and Persuasion, February 5

Reading Assignment Due:
As with the previous assignments, we want you to write three thought provoking questions pertinent to the readings, which should be sent to the TA (smarmon@stanford.edu) by 11pm the night before class. As before, you can choose whichever readings most interest you, and you can write your questions for the same or different readings. Be sure that your questions demonstrate a solid understanding of the material.

• Chapter 3, (Computers as Persuasive Tools, 31-60) and Chapter 8 (Increasing persuasion through mobility and connectivity, 183-208) from Fogg, Persuasive Technology

By Tuesday (2/5) each team should have a Point-of-View statement. It can be as short as the "classified ads" or could also include more explication about the key insight. The goal will be to have it specific enough to get started on your first prototypes. We won't have time to work on this extensively in the class session, but want to see that you are headed the right direction.

Also, come to class with the material you brought in last Tuesday for "obstacles" and your own personal change goals, which we will try to make time to discuss.
